Unveiling of The Spirit of King's
This event will take place on 28/01/2020.
The Spirit of King’s is an iconic statue that was commissioned to celebrate 140 years of King’s High and its important and pioneering role in advancing women’s education.
Renowned sculptor, Liz Middleton, has designed this exclusive piece of public art following extensive research at the school. The unique design was then created in
Italy over the course of several months, ready to be installed outside the front of the new school on the Banbury Road. The Spirit of King’s has been donated by a generous benefactor and will be unveiled at a special ceremony on 28 January 2020. Kathleen Soriano, now an independent arts curator, writer and television broadcaster and formerly Director of Exhibitions at Royal Academy of Arts and Director at Compton Verney, will be unveiling the sculpture.
This event is invitation only.
